The product launch will increase supply to meet demand and add a pet-friendly dish to the menu.
Dogs will enjoy this summer as Dunkin’s-themed dog toys are back and better than ever. Today, the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation and The Original BARK Company (NYSE: BARK) (“BARK”), makers of BarkBox, announced a second partnership with two new “pawsome” dog toys sure to delight your four-legged friend, including a Dunkin’ coffee cup dispensing treats and a Dunkin’ donut with bag. The dog toys will be available starting July 26 at participating Dunkin’ restaurants nationwide while they’re in stock, and both toys support the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation.
When Dunkin’ fans pick up a BARK toy for their pup, they are supporting the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation’s mission to bring joy to children struggling with hunger or illness. Each BARK toy is only available with a donation to the Foundation to help bring joy to children who need it most, and while available. For a donation of $12 at participating restaurants, guests will receive a plush dog toy in the form of a Dunkin’ coffee cup, which is crunchy and filled with squeakers and has a small ledge at the top that “owners” can lift up to hide treats inside for hours of fun and stimulation. For a $15 donation, guests will receive a Dunkin’ Domutt To-Go 2-in-1 toy, and dog parents can hide treats inside a crazy crunchy bag that contains a plush strawberry glazed donut studded with extra sprinkles and filled with squeakers.
BARK toys are known for being bright, durable and perfect for dogs of all ages and sizes, and these cute toys are no exception. On August 26, dog parents will be able to purchase these limited-edition toys through BARKShop.com, and BarkBox and Super Chewer subscribers can get these toys as an add-on to their monthly box through Add-to-Box.
Furry friends can celebrate even more with Dunkin’s new Puppy Cup. Beginning Aug. 4, guests who bring their four-legged friends can donate $1 to Joy in Childhood and receive a Puppy Cup in gratitude. This delightful treat is 4 ounces of whipped cream in a cup specifically designed for a dog’s face.
“There is an ongoing need to raise awareness and funding for children suffering from hunger or illness, and we at Dunkin’ are always looking for meaningful opportunities to support this issue,” said Karen Raskopf, co-chair of the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation Board of Directors. “Because dogs bring us all so much joy in life, the BARK partnership and the one-day Cup for a Puppy program celebrate our precious companions and give our guests the opportunity to help us raise significant funds for children in need.”
Last year’s partnership between BARK and Dunkin’ raised more than $1.8 million for foundation programs such as Dogs for Joy, presented in 2018 to bring full-time service dogs to children’s hospitals. These dogs bring joy, relieve anxiety and reduce stress for children struggling with illness and their families. To date, the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation has funded 26 service dogs at 15 hospitals, impacting hundreds of thousands of young patients.
The mission of the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation is to give the simple joys of childhood to children suffering from hunger or illness. Since its founding in 2006, the foundation has given more than $30 million and will give $7 million this year.
