GIPHY Backdrop

GIPHY has launched GIPHY Backdrop, a new tool that lets you create your own animated virtual backgrounds for video calls.

Daily video calls on Zoom, Google Meet, Skype, or other platforms can get really boring, really fast. To help you bring some “personality and fun” to your video meetings, GIPHY is launching a new tool that lets you create animated virtual backgrounds. Please welcome GIPHY Backdrop.

The idea for GIPHY Backdrop came when the team behind it created a few custom GIPHY-made backgrounds for video calls. While they were experimenting with different background types, they realized that they might as well give people the power to create their own. They did just that.
