Marketplace: According to reports, LinkedIn is building a new service to let its members find and work with freelancers
The move hasn’t been announced yet, but according to reports, LinkedIn Marketplace will also use a digital wallet to pay freelancers and have freelancers get paid. It makes total sense that LinkedIn is going in this direction – especially now, during the COVID-19 pandemic – with many more people working from home.

The service could make LinkedIn a lot more useful for many people – not just a place to connect with professional contacts. Marketplace is not a new idea for LinkedIn. The platform has a ‘ProFinder’ tool already, which lets members search for freelancers on its platform and use them for projects.
