Twitter Introduces Conversation Insights Tool to Media Studio

The Publisher Insight section of Twitter Media Studio now features a new tool called, Conversation Insights. Conversation Insight enables publishers to see tweets they may have missed on a customizable dashboard, enabling them to see what’s being said about them minute-by-minute over time.

Twitter Introduces Option to Follow Specific Topics: Twitter is finally rolling out the ability to follow specific topics on the platform the same way one might follow individual accounts. This feature was first announced in mid-August and was discussed a previous episode of the  Talk Show.

Twitter Introduces List of Upcoming Features, Coming in 2020: Twitter’s VP of Design and Research, Dantley Davis, shared a list of five new features that he’s “looking forward to in 2020.” Most ideas focus on giving users more control over retweets and @ mentions as well as protection from conversations they don’t want to take part in.

Twitter Considers Labeling Bots on the Platform with a Checkmark: In an October 25th interview with The Wall Street Journal’s Joanna Stern, the Legal, Trust, Policy and Safety Lead at Twitter, Vijaya Gadde, shared that the company might consider labeling bots on the platform.

She stated that “the more transparency that [Twitter] can provide in the product as to who is behind any account is a good thing.” This move is part of Twitter’s efforts to battle trolls, identify bots, and combat misinformation on the platform.

Twitter Introduces Emoji-Type Reactions for Direct Messages: Twitter is trying to “make it easier and faster to respond to a Direct Message” by testing emoji reactions that can be attached to specific messages.

Twitter Introduces New Option Which Would Enable You to Switch Accounts in Tweet Replies: Twitter appears to be testing a new option that enables users to switch accounts within the tweet reply process, “making it easier to manage multiple account interactions on the go.” This experimental feature was spotted by Twitter user, Renz Bernardo, and shared by social media expert, Matt Navarra.
