WhatsApp chats update: WhatsApp is making small but noticeable changes to the user interface of its app for Android users. According to a report by WaBetaInfo, the instant messaging platform has removed separators between chat boxes.
WaBetaInfo is an online platform that shares the latest and upcoming WhatsApp updates and features for both Android and iOS users. The report also includes a screenshot showing what the new chat UI will look like once the new feature is implemented.
Currently, individual chats in WhatsApp are separated by thin lines. With the new feature, these lines will be removed for WhatsApp on Android users. The feature is currently in beta testing. The WaBetaInfo report states that the feature is being rolled out to beta users of the app.
There is no information on whether the feature will be extended to Phone users.
In other news, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and WhatsApp CEO Will Cathcart recently confirmed some upcoming features in WhatsApp. In an exclusive report, WaBetaInfo reports that the company reached out to the site to talk about what these new WhatsApp features will mean for users and how they will work.
Among the features are disappearing mode, support for multiple devices (up to 4 devices) and a special WhatsApp app for iPad tablets. With disappearance mode, users will be able to send disappearing messages in an ephemeral way. This means that messages will be sent with the “View once” feature.
Cathart confirmed that the multi-device feature will roll out in public beta in the next month or two. With the new feature, users will be able to connect up to 4 connected devices.
